Boeing employees have called off their seven-week strike after accepting the company’s latest pay offer, according to BBC reports.
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), which represents the employees, announced that workers would begin returning to their jobs. Under the new four-year agreement, Boeing workers will receive a 38% pay increase.
The strike, which began on September 13, involved more than 30,000 employees and had placed the aviation giant in a challenging situation amid ongoing safety and production concerns. The new contract includes a one-time bonus of $12,000 and enhanced retirement benefits.
