The biggest lab of Nokia is going to be established in India. The Finnish technology company will set up fixed network research and development (R&D) centers in Chennai and Tamil Nadu with the help of the provincial government. For this purpose, the company has adopted an investment plan.
Sources said that Nokia will invest Rs 450 crore in the new research and development center for fixed network.
This investment will further accelerate Nokia’s 10G, 25G, 50G and 100G development for passive optical networks, fixed wireless access, Wi-Fi and MDU solutions.
A memorandum of understanding has already been signed between the Tamil Nadu government and Nokia in this regard.
