Social media giant Meta has scrapped plans to build a high-end mixed-reality headset. Mark Zuckerberg’s company announced the launch of this headset to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro. News The Information.
Meta already has reportedly instructed its Reality Labs division employees not to work on mixed-reality headsets.
Meta’s planned headset was internally codenamed ‘La Jolla’ and was due to hit the market in 2027.
