A new video game developed by a startup owned by Chinese tech giant Tencent has set all-time records on various online platforms. It achieved this record of 1.4 million players playing the game at the same time within hours of its release. News Reuters.
The game titled ‘Black Myth: Wukong’ is based on the Chinese mythological figure and classic novel ‘Journey to the West’.
The game is developed by a startup called ‘Game Science’, which was founded in 2014 by Feng Ji, a former employee of Tencent. The startup has already received investment from multiple investors including Tencent, Hero Entertainment.
