After massive requests from users, the group chatting facility has finally been launched on the short video sharing platform TikTok. As a result of this new facility, from now on up to 32 people can do group chatting.
ByteDance, the company that owns TikTok, said that while the feature is not yet available everywhere, those who have already had the opportunity to use the feature will be able to add up to 32 people to group chats.
The feature can start group chatting in two ways. The first of these is from Inbox. For this the user has to click on the ‘Chat’ button at the top of the screen or any name in the message list. After that click on ‘More Options’ button and choose your favorite friends from there. Next, click on the ‘Start Group Chat’ option.
Besides, group chat can also be done by sharing the post to multiple people. In this case, if you want to talk to more than one person about a video, you have to press the ‘Share’ button. After that select the ‘Create Group Chat’ option to send the video to your favorite friends. A message can be added to it.
