The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has published the results of the MBBS admission test for the 2024-25 academic year on its official website.
This year, a total of 131,729 candidates participated in the admission test. Of them, 60,095 candidates have been declared successful for government and private medical colleges, resulting in a pass rate of 45.62%.
The results were announced after 4:30 PM. According to the results, 5,372 candidates have been initially selected for admission to 37 government medical colleges.
Speaking to Prothom Alo, Professor Rubina Yasmin, Additional Director General (Medical Education) of the Directorate of Medical Education, said, “During a meeting earlier today, we decided to publish the results. The results were released after 4:30 PM.”
Candidates who appeared in the admission test can check their results on the DGHS website. Additionally, successful candidates will receive their results via SMS on the mobile numbers provided during the application process.
The MBBS admission test was held on Friday, January 17, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at multiple venues across 19 centers in the country.
It has been reported that a total of 135,261 applications were submitted for this year’s admission test. Including quotas, there are 5,380 seats available in medical colleges, meaning that 25 candidates competed for each seat.
