National Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank has initiated its digital transformation in collaboration with Flora Systems Limited, a leading IT company in Bangladesh. The agreement was officially signed at the bank’s head office in Motijheel on Tuesday, December 10. This initiative aims to enhance NCC Bank’s technological infrastructure and offer uninterrupted and secure banking experiences to its customers. Flora Systems secured the contract through competitive bidding against renowned global core banking software providers like Temenos and Oracle.
The agreement was signed by NCC Bank’s Managing Director, M. Shamsul Arefin, and Flora Systems’ Chairman and Managing Director, Mustafa Rafiqul Islam.
The event was attended by NCC Bank’s Deputy Managing Director Md. Mahbub Alam, Senior Vice President and Head of Enterprise Applications Md. Sajjadul Islam, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer Mohammad Anisur Rahman, and Sheikh Shahadat Hossain.
According to sources, Flora Systems will upgrade NCC Bank’s core banking system (CBS) from Flora Bank version 18.4 to version 22.4. This digital transformation initiative is expected to expand NCC Bank’s digital capabilities and reinforce its commitment to delivering technologically advanced banking operations to its customers.
