A seminar on artificial intelligence, robotics knowledge, and future career development was held at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). The chief guest was Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Majid, Vice Chancellor of JUST.
On Monday morning, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at JUST organized the seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Knowledge, and Future Career Development” at the central gallery of the university.
In his speech, the Vice Chancellor of JUST, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Majid, stated, “We are trying to develop our university as a research-oriented one. When students are engaged in research and innovation, the global ranking of our university will improve. We are currently in a good position in the Times Higher Education rankings, and this is an achievement we aim to maintain. We need to increase the use of artificial intelligence and robotics technology in industry and other sectors, which will reduce the workforce in factories while increasing production capacity and the quality of products. If there are any technology competitions or programming contests related to artificial intelligence, I would like our students to participate, and the university will provide full support to the participants. We have taken two labs at the Jashore IT Park for our students to conduct research. These labs will help our students conduct high-quality research and contribute to technological advancements in the country with innovative thinking.”
The main presentation at the seminar was delivered by Sheikh Shahariar Hossain, Managing Director of Deloitte Japan. He highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence and robotics in the global market and presented significant research data on new discoveries, challenges, and processes. He elaborated on the development of students’ careers in AI and robotics in line with global trends.
Additionally, before the seminar, the Just Robo Society organized various activities such as poster presentations, quizzes, e-football, smartphone-based biosensors, multi-purpose robots, line-following robots, and other projects. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
The seminar, chaired by Professor Dr. Syed Mohammad Galib, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, also featured speeches by Inzamamul Haque Shishir, General Secretary of the Robotics Society, among others. Faculty members and students from various departments attended the seminar, which was conducted by Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Islam, Associate Professor of the CSE department.
