A full-day workshop was held on Friday in the capital’s Banani, organized by the online and Facebook-based fashion product initiative, Live Shopping. The theme of the workshop was “Ways to Make Unemployed Youth Business-Oriented.”
Around 600 young individuals who are interested in starting their own businesses attended the workshop. Live Shopping operates with eight branches across three divisions in the country, in addition to online sales.
The event highlighted that the young and expatriate entrepreneurs participating in the workshop would have the opportunity to collaborate with Live Shopping as local partners in their respective areas, promoting and selling Live Shopping’s products.
Live Shopping was founded by Ashik Khan in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown when the entire country was shut down. Ashik began live-streaming from home, offering fashion insights, and thus, Live Shopping was born.
Regarding the workshop, Ashik Khan, the CEO of Live Shopping, told Prothom Alo, “We received requests to open Live Shopping branches in various areas. Based on those requests, we organized this workshop.”
In response to a question at the workshop, Ashik Khan said, “From the very beginning, we have prioritized customer demand. Currently, 3.5 million people are connected with us through social media. We are a brand for the masses, and our products are affordable. We deliver products to customers’ homes without any advance payment. We also offer a seven-day return and refund policy.”
The workshop also provided new business agreements and the opportunity to supply innovative products. Additionally, new entrepreneurs received guidance on how to start and manage a business through Live Shopping.
