Police has filed a charge sheet against TikToker Abdullah Al Mamun aka Prince Mamun in a rape case. The investigating officer of the case, Deputy Inspector Muhammad Shahjahan of the Cantonment Police Station, submitted the charge sheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court of Dhaka on September 26.
According to court sources on Thursday (December 5), after filing the charge sheet, the case has been sent to Dhaka Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal-9 for trial.
Earlier, on June 9, Laila filed a case against Prince Mamun at the Cantonment Police Station in the capital. He was arrested the next day. He was sent to jail on June 11. The court granted his bail on July 1.
According to the case, Laila met Prince Mamun of TikTok three years ago on the social media Facebook. At one stage of the acquaintance, he established a love relationship with her by showing the temptation of marriage. As Mamun does not have her own home in Dhaka, Laila allows her to stay at her home. On January 7, 2022, Mamun came to Laila’s house with her mother and started living. From that day Mamun started staying in the same room with him. Have physical contact more than once. While Mamun was staying at his house, his parents used to come and stay there. When Mamun was asked about marriage several times, he kept wasting time on various pretexts. Mamun raped her again on March 14 this year. Later, when he told her about the marriage, he became furious. At the same time, he was abused in various obscene languages.
