At the 12th World Mathematics Championship held in Doha, Qatar, six Bangladeshi teams won gold medals on their first participation. In addition to these golds, the delegation secured 11 silver medals, 7 bronze medals, and 3 merit awards, ensuring every participant out of the total 27 earned recognition. This marked a remarkable success for Bangladesh on the global stage.
Among the medalists was U Sain Wang Marma, an eighth-grade student from Quantum Cosmo School in Lama, Bandarban, who won a silver medal. U Sain Wang, who enrolled in the school in 2016 as a preschooler, comes from a remote region in Bandarban and is cared for by his mother and grandmother after losing his father. His achievement not only brings honor to Glenrich International School but also represents Bangladesh’s talent on the world stage. It serves as an inspiration for young learners across the nation to pursue their dreams and excel in life.”
