Following the ban on single-band routers in Bangladesh, publicly listed hardware distributor Global Brand has launched a dual-band, dual-core CPU-supported router, model WR3000S, in the local market.
On Wednesday, Naeem Ur Rahman, Executive of Global Brand’s Digital Marketing Department, announced the introduction of this Gigabit Mesh Router, capable of connecting up to 200 devices simultaneously. The router operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, offering speeds of 574 Mbps and 2402 Mbps, respectively. As a mesh router, it can be interconnected with other compatible QD devices for expanded coverage. With built-in VPN server and DNS functionality, the router can be conveniently managed via the QD app using cloud connectivity.
Key specifications include a MediaTek MT7981 dual-core 1.3 GHz processor, 256 MB RAM, and 128 MB ROM. The router is equipped with four fixed antennas, five Gigabit LAN ports, and one WAN port, enabling seamless 4K video streaming, gaming, and connectivity to devices such as TVs, PCs, and printers.
The router provides a maximum range of 722 feet and features LED indicators for system, internet, WPS, 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, WAN, and LAN activity. Its robust configuration makes it an ideal choice for modern connectivity demands.
