Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) to provide collateral-free loans to BASIS members. The signing ceremony took place on Sunday, November 17, at MTB’s headquarters in Gulshan, Dhaka.
According to a statement from BASIS on Monday, the event was attended by BASIS President M Rashidul Hasan, Vice President (Finance) M Asif Rahman, Director Biplob Ghosh Rahul, Chairman of BASIS Member Services and Welfare Committee Anisul Haque Bhuiyan, and Executive Officer of BASIS Secretariat S M Zakaria Islam.
From MTB, Managing Director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Additional Managing Director and CBO Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, and Deputy Managing Director and Head of CRM Usman Rashed Muin were present.
Speaking at the event, BASIS President M Rashidul Hasan said, “This partnership with Mutual Trust Bank PLC opens up new financial opportunities for BASIS members, accelerating their innovation and growth.”
MTB Managing Director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to collaborate with BASIS. This initiative will enable IT entrepreneurs to access capital through collateral-free loans.”
BASIS Vice President (Finance) M Asif Rahman highlighted the significance of the agreement, saying, “This MoU marks a major milestone for BASIS members, offering them customized financial facilities and ensuring long-term stability.”
