Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) celebrated the successful inclusion of its members’ details—names, organizations, mobile numbers, and emails—into a comprehensive database with three distinct tabs: permanent, temporary, and deceased. The celebration took place on Sunday (November 17) at the DRU garden, marked by a cake-cutting ceremony.
The event, moderated by DRU Technology and Training Secretary Rashim Molla, featured remarks from DRU President Syed Shukur Ali Shuvo. He highlighted the organization’s commitment to technological advancement, stating, “Since taking office, we have prioritized enhancing DRU’s technological capabilities. Following the update of the DRU app, today we proudly complete the database project on our website. Members’ details can now be searched and accessed from anywhere, globally.”
Other attendees included DRU Executive Committee members: Publicity and Publication Secretary Sushanta Kumar Saha, Cultural Secretary Md. Monowar Hossain, Welfare Secretary Md. Tanvir Ahmed, and Executive Members Rafiq Mridha and Md. Shariful Islam.
