The team “DUET Infinitron” from Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) emerged as champions in the line-following robot contest at the National Robo Fest organized by East West University. The winning team members, Iqbal Mahmud Tanvir Hossain and Mukramin, are second-year students from the Electrical Engineering Department.
The award was presented to the DUET team on Saturday at East West University’s Aftabnagar campus by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Md. Shams-Ur Rahman.
Earlier, on October 25, the same DUET robotics team won the Mesmerize Robot segment at the TechFest IIT Bombay Bangladesh Zonal Round.
The National Robo Fest 2024 hosted a variety of competitions, including robot soccer, automated line-following, programming contests, and project showcases. Over 200 teams from across the country participated in the nine-category event, which concluded on Saturday. Students from various educational institutions showcased their creativity and technical skills through innovative projects. DUET’s team excelled by programming their line-following robot to complete the course in the shortest, most precise time, securing the championship honor.
