OpenAI’s popular chatbot, ChatGPT, which is backed by Microsoft, has returned to normal operations following a brief outage on Friday that impacted numerous users, according to Reuters.
In a statement on its website, OpenAI confirmed that the issue affecting ChatGPT had been resolved. The outage had disrupted access for many users, who faced difficulties using the platform.
Reports indicate that by Saturday afternoon at around 4:30 PM, most users could once again access ChatGPT without issue. However, a small number of users still encountered difficulties until around 5:00 PM, according to OpenAI.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, commented on social media platform X, using an emoji to state, “ChatGPT was down for about 30 minutes. We’re significantly more reliable than ever, but of course, there’s always room to improve.”
