The fifth executive committee of the DUET Textile Career and Research Club (DTCRC), the only career-focused organization of the Textile Engineering Department at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, has been formed. Mohammad Likunuzzaman Nishu, a fourth-year student of the Textile Engineering Department, has been appointed as President, and Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, a third-year student of the same department, has been appointed as General Secretary.
The announcement was made by Professor Dr. Md. Zakaria, Head of the Department of Textile Engineering, during a general meeting held on Thursday evening in the seminar room of the Old Academic Building. Prior to the announcement, the fourth executive committee was dissolved. The event was attended by the club’s advisors, including Professor Dr. Abdus Shahid from the Textile Engineering Department at DUET, Asadul Haque Shaon, Head of Group Supply Chain Management at Esrotex Group, as well as university faculty members, students, former committee members, and current club members.
The newly appointed members of DTCRC’s fifth executive committee include:
- Vice President and Research Advisor: Md. Harun Or Rashid Himel
- Vice President and Career Advisor: Md. Biplob Mia
- Vice President and Finance Advisor: Md. Rakibul Islam
- Vice President and Industry Advisor: Md. Shakil Mahmud
- Vice President and Organizing Advisor: Md. Tariqul Islam
- Vice President and Media & Publications Advisor: Md. Mehedi Hasan
- Vice President and Office Advisor: Md. Farhad Babu
- Vice President and Sports Advisor: Md. Sagar Ahmed Sahil
- Vice Presidents: Md. Sabuj Hossain and Jibon Chandra
Other executive roles include Joint Secretaries, Finance Secretaries, Organizing Secretaries, Research Secretaries, Member Secretaries, Office Secretaries, Sports Secretaries, Media & Publications Secretaries, Cultural Secretaries, and Women’s Secretaries. This newly formed committee is expected to drive forward the club’s mission of fostering career development and research opportunities for textile engineering students at DUET.
