Dr. Peyar Ahmed, a professor from the Department of Mathematics at Jagannath University, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Chandpur University of Science and Technology. According to the official notice issued by the Ministry of Education on November 7, this appointment is for a term of four years. However, the President, in his capacity as Chancellor, retains the right to revoke the appointment at any time if deemed necessary.
As Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed will receive a salary equivalent to his current position along with other benefits in accordance with the rules. He is also required to serve as the chief executive of the university, residing on campus on a full-time basis to oversee university operations.
