Two Bangladeshi technology firms have been honored at the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2024 in Tokyo. Riseup Labs received recognition in the “Outstanding Tech Organization” category, while eGroot Ltd. was awarded in the “Emerging Digital Solution and Ecosystem” category.
The awards were presented on November 7, during the award night of the three-day summit, by ASOCIO Chairman Dr. Brian Shen. Distinguished guests, including ASOCIO’s Lifetime Honorary Chairman and former BCS President Abdullah H. Kafi, along with other ASOCIO officials, attended the ceremony.
ASOCIO (Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization), one of the largest IT organizations in the Asia-Oceania region, hosted the awards across 13 categories. Representatives from 24 countries’ IT sectors participated, with Bangladesh represented by a 15-member team from the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), ASOCIO’s sole member from Bangladesh.
Each year, ASOCIO presents these awards to recognize IT projects making significant impacts within the Asia-Oceania region. BCS nominates outstanding Bangladeshi projects for the prestigious ASOCIO awards annually. Abdullah H. Kafi expressed pride in the global recognition of Bangladesh’s tech industry, commending the contributions of BCS and other local organizations in promoting the nation’s IT capabilities on international platforms.
