A new 4G feature phone has been introduced in the Bangladeshi market, offering limited access to popular apps like Facebook, YouTube, Opera Mini, and TikTok. Co-branded as the “Symphony Evo 10,” this VoLTE-enabled phone is available under the “My First 4G Phone” offer for BDT 2,250, a joint initiative by Banglalink and the local phone brand Symphony.
Banglalink’s Marketing Operations Director, Mehedi Al Amin, confirmed on Wednesday that this partnership aims to enhance digital inclusion across the country by launching an affordable 4G device. First-time users of this phone will receive six months of complimentary internet, including 9GB of data (6GB for regular 4G use and 3GB for using the Tofi browser). In the first month, users will get 4GB of data (1GB for 4G and 3GB for Tofi).
Symphony’s Managing Director, Zakaria Shahid, stated that the Evo 10 device will be available at Banglalink stores, partner outlets, and various open channels across the country. The phone features a 2.4-inch display, 48MB RAM, and 128MB ROM, which can be expanded up to 32GB. Additionally, it is equipped with a 1500mAh battery and a digital camera with a flash, allowing users to save up to 2,000 contacts.
