The newly formed executive committee of Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) has pledged full support to the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation, which was established to preserve the memory of those martyred during the July-August uprisings and to provide employment opportunities for the children of the martyr families. This decision was made during a meeting held at the BACCO Secretariat on Saturday, October 5, 2024, between BACCO and the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation.
The meeting began with a solemn tribute to all the martyrs and injured from the student and public uprisings in July and August, remembering their sacrifices in the face of opposition forces.
BACCO President Tanveer Ibrahim stated, “BACCO stands by those who were injured in their pursuit of a prosperous, equitable, and corruption-free Bangladesh. We are committed to helping the victims of the uprising fully recover and reintegrate into normal life by offering employment opportunities that match their enhanced skills.”
BACCO General Secretary Faisal Alim emphasized, “Those who were martyred, injured, or left disabled during the uprising are the true heroes of our nation. We will not let their sacrifices be in vain. The BACCO family will always stand by them.”
Mir Mahbubur Rahman (Snigdho), General Secretary of the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation, appreciated BACCO’s initiative, saying, “Having been involved in the outsourcing industry since the beginning of my career, I believe there is immense potential for creating employment opportunities in the information technology sector, which will play a crucial role in the country’s economic development. I commend BACCO for taking this initiative to provide employment for the victims of the uprising.”
The meeting was attended by BACCO directors Abdul Kader, Zayed Uddin Ahmed, Saima Shawkat, and Executive Director Lt. Col. (Retd.) Md. Mahtabul Haque, PSC, along with senior officials from both organizations.
