Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation, an organization under the Ministry of Industry, took the initiative to distribute relief to the flood-affected people of Cumilla, Feni and Noakhali districts.
On Monday (August 26) relief distribution initiative was taken. Chairman of BSEC Md. Moniruzzaman, the directors welcomed the initiative and gave important instructions.
They distributed 300 bags of rice, dal, potato, onion, oil, sugar, salt, saline, toast biscuits, Bakery bread, gas lighter, ball soap, towels and sanitary napkins. The distribution work was driven by boats from two different ends. From Chattogram region, one team distributed relief items in Feni part while the team from BSEC head office in Dhaka region distributed among the flood victims in Cumilla part.
These humanitarian aid items are given to the actual flood affected people by listing them on the ground with the help of local people at different spots of Manoharganj Upazila of Cumilla district. At this time, the Chief Auditor on behalf of the coordinating organization of the BSEC team Md. Salim Howlader, DGM Imran Al Aziz, Public Relations Officer Alauddin Mridha and 17 people participated in this relief work.
At this time, they inquired about the people sheltered in some centers including Touraish Taheria Dakhil Madrasa of Manoharganj and handed over relief materials to them. Talking to the locals, it is known that they need more relief.
