Huawei recently brought five innovative products and services to Bangladesh to promote renewable energy production. The announcement was made officially at a function organized at Huawei Bangladesh Academy in Dhaka. Top officials of Huawei’s Digital Power Division and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) associates were present at the event.
Advanced products and services include two inverters, two energy storage systems and an AI-powered energy management assistant. Their use will help Bangladesh in its renewable power generation. Huawei’s new inverters are the SUN2000-150K-MG0 and SUN2000-12-25KTL-MB0 and the energy storage systems are the 2MWH ESS and LUNA2000-7/14/21-S1. Besides, EMMA-A02 comes as the latest AI-powered energy management assistant.
Nic Xiao Peng, Managing Director of Huawei Bangladesh Digital Power, said, “We want to bring advanced technologies to our partners and customers that can serve them according to their needs. These five products feature advanced safety features optimized for fuel efficiency. We believe these will further strengthen Bangladesh’s digital power sector.”
The inverters have advanced safety features. They use for the first time PV ground-fault protection, which detects a ground-fault during grid connection and disconnects it from ground within 15 milliseconds to ensure safety. Besides, the inverters have smart connector temperature detection to monitor the connector temperature on both the DC and AC sides. This technology automatically shuts down the inverter within 0.5 seconds of overtemperature detection to prevent fire incidents.
Besides, for fire-fighting, these inverters have active arc extinguishing system (ability to detect and interrupt high current flow) with highest quality AFCI arc protection. This increases the detection range up to 450 meters, which is suitable for large-scale C&I applications. Its special smart string-level disconnect feature ensures safety on the DC side by disconnecting efficiently and quickly. These inverters can reduce the cost of a project by increasing the output power by 50 percent.
MB0 is a hybrid inverter suitable for home use. It has 12 kW and 25 kW options and supports 2 MPPTS/4 input and higher input current of 30A/20A. In addition, the inverter can ensure versatile use and functionality with a maximum discharge power of 13.2 kW/25 kW in hybrid scenarios.
The LUNA2000-7/14/21-S1 features Module+ architecture, which includes pack level independent optimization and 5-level security.
EMM-A02 is Huawei’s latest AI-based energy management assistant, which helps increase efficiency and customer service by controlling home electrical appliances through one-stop management and smart control.
