The Administration of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), has ordered the BCL leader Russell Hossain Riyad to leave the hall for the incident of beating a student.
On Monday (July 15), The matter was informed in a circular signed by the Hall Provost Professor Dr. Amirul Islam.

It is said in the circular that Russel Hossain Riyad, a student of the 2015-16 academic year of Bangla Department, is staying at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall. He has been staying illegally in room number 407 for a long time. On July 15, Golam Kibria, a student of social work department, was attacked at around 3 pm. As Russell Hossain Riyad was involved in this incident, he was ordered to leave the hall by today.
Earlier, the Hall Committee and the Proctorial Committee held an emergency meeting to resolve the incident of beating Golam Kibria, a postgraduate student of the Department of Social Work. There it was decided to expel Russell Hossain Riad from the hall.
Gholam Kibria, a postgraduate student of Social Work department, went to his room after studying from the reading room of the hall at 3 o’clock on Monday. Then he went out of the room and came back after 5 minutes and found the door closed.
Then he kept pushing to open the door. At one point, Russell Hossain Riyad opened the door of the room and rushed towards him. Then he picked up the shoes in front of the room and started beating Kibria. At one point, when Kibria’s nose started bleeding, he ran back to room 304. At this time, Russell also broke his phone. Later, the sick Kibria was admitted to Pabna Sadar Hospital by his classmates.
Meanwhile, the anti-discrimination IASP alliance has condemned the incident of human contact by outsiders. Shariful Islam, coordinator of the alliance, said that we have formed an alliance for the sake of business. Not to act as a broker. Due to the brokerage, CDNs are arranged to shut down the internet instantly by giving them to IIG. These issues should be reformed. We are not a ministry but we strongly demand to the advisor Nahidul Islam to the interim government to fulfill our logical demands by forming an independent commission to BTRC.
