Finally, after 7 consecutive days, national emergency service 999 was has been restarted.
AIG (Media & PR) of Police Headquarters Inamul Haque Sagar confirmed the matter at 11 am on Tuesday (August 13). He said that the national emergency service 999 has been fully launched.
Earlier, after the fall of the Awami League government in the popular uprising of the students, angry mobs across the country set fire and vandalized various police stations and outposts. In this situation, the activities of all police stations in the country were stopped. However, the activities of 628 police stations have already started across the country. The National Emergency Service 999 has been started with the operation of the police station.
Out of 639 police stations across the country, 628 police stations have started operations. Besides, 108 police stations out of 110 metropolitan police stations and 529 police stations out of 529 district police stations have started operations.
