As the chairman of Grameen Telecom, Dr. Muhammad Yunus has been acquitted from the prison, sentenced by the labor court in the case of violation of the labor law. On Wednesday (August 7), the Labor Appeal Tribunal gave this verdict after hearing the petition made by Dr. Yunus and others against the ruling.
Dr. Yunus’s lawyer Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter to reporters.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday (August 7), it has been decided to form the next interim government of the country headed by Dr. Muhammad Yunus at Bangabhaban on Tuesday night.
This decision was taken in a meeting with President Md. Sahabuddin, the heads of the armed forces and the coordinators of the student movement.
Then on Wednesday, in a notification given by Yunus Center, Dr. Muhammad Yunus said to the countrymen:
“I congratulate the brave students who led us to make our second Victory Day a reality. Congratulations to the immense public of the country, who have given full support to the students in this movement. Let us ensure that we make the best use of this new victory. Let us not lose this victory because of any mistake of ours. I appeal to all to remain calm in the current situation, refrain from all forms of violence and destruction of movable and immovable property and request all to remain calm, irrespective of students and parties.’
