The Bangladesh Meteorological Department’s website has been recovered five hours after being hacked. The information published in both Bengali and English versions of the Directorate was found to be correct around 1 pm on Tuesday.
Meteorologist of the directorate Md. Bazlur Rashid confirmed that the site was recovered by its own engineers regarding the hacking incident. In response to the question of how this happened after the website was launched, another meteorologist Manowar Hossain said, “When did it happen, how did it happen, who did it. We will need more time to know that.”
They had earlier entered the department’s website at around 9 am and though the Bengali version of the website was showing properly, when they clicked on the English version, it was showing ‘hacked’. The English version of the website was attacked around 7 am on Tuesday, said Shamim Hasan Bhuiyan, deputy director of the site. He said that the weather forecast is published on the official website called Bmd.gov.bd. But since Monday (July 8) night, it has been taken over by a hacker page named ODIYAN911. As a result, weather reporting activities are being hampered.
On Tuesday (July 9) at 6:43 a.m., the website of the Meteorological Department was accessed and showed, HACKED BY ODIYAN911. ~TE4M UCC INDIAN H4CKERS ~, Behind Every Mask, There is a Face And Behind That, A Untold Story. PLAY MUSIC.

However, if you search Google by typing Meteorological Department in Bengali, you can enter the website of the department. From there, if you take it to English mode, the website looks hacked.
