To stay safe online, experts suggested using strong passwords, following cyber hygiene, knowingly sharing information to prevent rumours, and refraining from clicking on any link. According to them, there is no substitute for awareness to stay safe in online. Meanwhile, the National Cyber Security Agency is working on skill development along with this awareness program to keep the country’s cyber space safe through limited manpower and various dimensional limitations.
This was informed in the seminar held on Monday in Agargaon at the capital organized by the National Cyber Security Agency on prevention of rumours, cyberbullying and safe use of internet. Salma Jahan, Director General of Directorate of Archives and Libraries attended the seminar as the chief guest while Director General of National Cyber Security Agency Abu Saeed. Dr. Kamruzzaman presided over the meeting.
Associate Professor Engineer Md. University of Information Technology and Science Department of Computer Science on password security in the seminar conducted by journalist Shubo Rahman. Shafayet Hossain and Assistant Director (Planning and Development) of National Cyber Security Agency on online phishing and social engineering. Nayeem Khan presented the keynote.
More than a hundred persons including school, college and university level students and related sectors were present in the seminar.
