State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat commented that if BNP could succeed in thwarting the elections, undemocratic forces would have emerged in the country. He said that BNP wanted to thwart the election on January 7. Awami League has voted out that plot with the people of this country.
He made this comment while speaking as the guest of honor at the iftar distribution ceremony organized by Bangladesh Awami Jubo League on the occasion of the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day on March 17 at South Point School and College ground in Mohakhali of the capital on Tuesday, March 19.
Addressing BNP, he said, leave the anti-constitutional unpolitic of pandering to foreign masters, burning people with arson and disrupting elections and come back to practicing pure politics. Be respectful of democracy, politicize the electoral process.
Awami Jubo League president Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash presided over the event while the State Minister for Women and Child Affairs and Awami League Presidium member Simin Hossain Rimi were present as the chief guest.
