An online meeting on ‘Future of Educational Assessment in the Age of Artificial Intelligence’ was held at ULAB on Thursday. The meeting was organized by the Center for Education Research (CETL) of The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). An Assistant Professor of ULAB Mr. Mehdi Rajib was present as a speaker at the event.
Mr. Mehdi, a doctoral researcher at the University of Alabama, raised questions about the inequity, fairness, and ethics of assessment and evaluation in education and guided changing assessment methods with artificial intelligence.
Meanwhile, Prof. Imran Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of ULAB, reiterated his support for full growth of ULAB teachers in his discussion. Besides, ULAB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jude William Henilow was also present at the event.
Director of CETL Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Hossain said that the purpose of CETL is to help teachers to assimilate with artificial intelligence. In this age of new technology, ULAB is making sure to move forward like this.
