The leaders of the country’s oldest professional institution, Engineers Institution, Bangladesh (IEB), opined that on the 52nd anniversary of independence, engineers are working tirelessly for the achievement and development of the country. On this day, the country called Bangladesh stood tall in the world. The people of this country have taken up arms to call for the freedom of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On the 52nd anniversary of independence, Bangladesh now aims to build a smart Bangladesh. The independence won by Bengalis will give inspiration and courage to build Smart Bangladesh.
Today, on Sunday (March 26) at Ramna in the capital, leaders of engineers expressed their optimism while celebrating the Great Independence and National Day at the initiative of Engineers Institution.
Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur, the newly elected president of IEB, said that Bangladesh was born through the declaration of independence by the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.. Now, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, engineers are working together to build a smart Bangladesh
IEB General Secretary Engineer Md. Shahadat Hossain Shiblu said that the people of Bangladesh got the direction of liberation on this day. The freedom-loving people of the country made the country independent by taking part in the liberation war. This time our goal is to create Smart Sonar Bangla.
The newly elected general secretary SM Manjurul Haque Manju said that the engineers of this country are working to build a smart Bangladesh just like the engineers played a role in the struggle for independence.
The Independence and National Day celebrations started with the hoisting of the National Flag at the IEB premises. Later, IEB leaders laid wreaths and paid tributes at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi and at the National Memorial at Savar. Finally, the peace of the souls of the freedom fighters who were martyred in the great liberation war and the well-being of the countrymen are wished.

Nuruzzaman, General Secretary of IEB Dhaka Center Engineer Kazi Khairul Basar, newly elected General Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam, Chairman of Agriculture Strategy Department Md. Moazzem Hossain Bhuiyan, Editor Engineer Md. Misbahuzzaman Chandan, Chairman of Mechanical Engineering Ddepartment Engineer Md. Nasir Uddin along with newly elected committee members of various departments of IEB and all leaders of IEB and Bangabandhu Engineering Council were present at this time.
