State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak wrote a poem in English using Open AI Chat GPT. He referred to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as ‘the charioteer to fulfill the dreams of the students of this generation’ to make the future generation skilled in all the technologies required in the fourth industrial revolution. He said, these students will build a smart Bangladesh by facing the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. In this case, they will not only be good students but also be good people.
As a student, he addressed his childhood scout teacher ‘Ayub Sir’ and requested him to practice the habit of helping a helpless person every day as per his advice. He said, “After parents, the role of teachers is to change a country. Education is the backbone of the nation. Teachers are the backbone of education.”
The Minister of State for ICT expressed his views while speaking as the chief guest at the felicitation and reception ceremony at Singra, Natore on the last day of the 12-day ‘Challanbil Education Fesitval 2023’.
Palak also said that, “Today’s students are the future leaders of smart Bangladesh. If we can develop them as idealistic-humane children, then we will get the gift of humane-smart Bangladesh in 41.”
He also said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman termed education expenditure an investment not an expense. To fulfill Bangabandhu’s dream, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina created a digital platform for technology-based education. Eventually, Bangladesh has changed. In the last 14 years, 2 million youths have been employed in the information technology sector.
ICT State Minister said, ‘Now we have entered the era of the fourth industrial revolution. The world is constantly changing as a result of new innovations. The concept of development is changing. This wind of change has also caught Bangladesh. Our dream this time is to build a high income developed, innovative smart Bangladesh by 2041 under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Smart Bangladesh will be established on these four pillars: smart citizen, smart economy, smart government and smart society.
Palak said, under the leadership of Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the development and capacity building of these four technologies – micro processor design, artificial intelligence, robotics and cyber security – has started to face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. For this purpose, technology-based educational institutions and training centers are being made green, clean, safe and smart. Students of today’s generation will build a prosperous country by taking these benefits.
