Grameenphone organized a nationwide race titled ‘GP Run 2023’ for the first time to build a bright future for the organization by ensuring the good health of its employees. All the employees of the organization across the country participated in this run organized for the first time with the aim of preparing for the future together. Apart from developing digital skills of employees, Grameenphone emphasizes on their physical and mental well-being. Grameenphone employees set a unique precedent by participating in this initiative.
Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman, Chief Human Resource Officer Syed Tanveer Hussain and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Hans Martin Henrikson participated in the race with interest and enthusiasm.
The race started on Friday, January 27 at 6 am from Bashundhara Residential Area of the capital. Grameenphone employees from different areas outside Dhaka joined the event through ‘Strava’ app. They covered 5/10 km at the same time from their respective sections. They ran across the road. The participants made the event a success by celebrating their hard work towards good health and a collective effort towards this goal.

We believe that in order to develop a future-fit workforce, apart from developing professional skills, we must also give equal importance to their physical and mental well-being,” said Syed Tanveer Hossain, Chief Human Resources Officer, Grameenphone. By organizing the GP Run, we have taken steps to lay the foundation for the bright future of our organization. In this continuation, with the aim of building a ‘Future Fit Grameenphone’, Grameenphone will work to highlight the need for physical and mental health among employees through various events in the future.
