On the occasion of the ‘Digital Bangladesh Mela 2022’ to be held in the second phase, the fair organizing authorities have invited innovative projects of university students. This call was made at the university activation program held as a pre-preparation for the fair. On Tuesday (January 16, 2023) afternoon, a workshop on safe internet use was held at The International University of Scholars campus, a private university located at Banani in the capital.
The University of Scholars Treasurer Dr. J. Ali Presided over the workshop while Dr. Iqbal Bahar Zahid, founder of Nijer Bolar Moto Ekti Golpo Foundation, and net personality, was present as the Chief Guest. In his speech, the Chief Guest urged the present students to write a story to tell themselves with self-satisfaction by becoming an entrepreneur from the university life instead of chasing a job. At the same time, he urged to use the internet for meaningful work and to verify it before sharing anything. He said, the Internet is a place of immense potential. If you can use its good aspects, you can do a lot of great things in life. So, none has a choice but to be honest in using the internet.
ISPAB President Md. Imdadul Haque invited the students to attend the Digital Bangladesh Mela-2023 to be held on February 26-28 as a special guest. He said that the Digital Bangladesh Fair will display all the technologies used in Bangladesh such as broadband internet, 5G hardware, modern equipment of the IT industry and free stalls will be given to those working on various projects from schools, colleges and universities to participate in the fair.
Abdul Haseeb Siddiqui, Director of the Board of Trustees of the University, Registrar Captain Mobashwar Ali Khandkar and heads of various faculties spoke on the occasion among others.
