For spectrum revenue and license fees, Grameenphone have to pay 1 thousand 165 crore taka; Banglalink will have to pay 625 crore taka and Robi will have to pay Tk 565 crore. In total, three operators will have to pay two and a half thousand crore taka.
The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court pronounced the verdict in view of the objection regarding payment of dues of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
The Appellate Division gave this verdict after a long hearing on Tuesday (January 10). Apart from this, some instructions have also been given in the judgment of the Appellate Division.
Attorney General AM Amin Uddin heard for the state in the court. BERC was represented by senior advocate Saeed Ahmed Raza.
It is said that state’s highest law officer AM Amin Uddin will brief the journalists on this matter.
