Bangladesh Association of Contact Center & Outsourcing (BACCO) held its annual banquet in Ulukhola of Purbachal near Dhaka metropolis on Saturday along with the 11th Annual General Meeting. The Annual General Meeting was first held on Saturday morning at the local SeaClub Restaurant and Convention Hall. BACCO President Waheed Sharif presided over the meet while the members of the Executive Committee and representatives of 110 member institutions participated in the meeting.
BACCO General Secretary Touhid Hossain took approval of the minutes of the 10th Annual General Meeting from the members and all those present agreed to all the activities of BACCO in the past year, progress report, possible activities included in the future plans for the development of BPO industry.
Finance Secretary of the organization Aminul Haque presented the audited financial report of the financial year 2021-2022 before the members. Senior Vice President Abul Khair thanked the member institutions for their spontaneous participation and all kinds of cooperation.
After the meeting, the picnic started. After the cricket and football matches, some people rushed to the swimming pool to refresh themselves. Some reveled in the time by floating and swimming in the water. The younger members of the family sat in the drawing competition.
At the end of the buffet lunch, the female members of the families enjoyed playing the Hari-vanga game. After the sack-race participated by the young men, the women again indulged in the pillow passing game. There was a bioscope box next to the field. Where the old people looked back to the past, and the young people expressed their curiosity about the past of the elders. However, along with tea and coffee, everyone enjoyed the traditional pitha-jilapi-fuchka.
At the end of the games, NM Ziaul Alam, the ICTD Senior Secretary handed over prizes to the winners of the competition and lottery. Senior Secretary of Hi-tech Park Authority Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Startup Bangladesh Managing Director Sami Ahmed, e-CAB General Secretary Mohammad Abdul Waheed Tamal, BIJF President Nazneen Nahar, TMGB President Mohammad Kaushar Uddin and others spoke in the event.
While speaking as the Chief Guest on the occasion, the Senior Secretary of ICT Division expressed hope that BACCO will play a leading role in building Smart Bangladesh.
