Tesla has finalized plans to build an Electric Vehicle (EV) assembly plant in a commercial zone in Mexico. Elon Musk’s company may announce the construction of the factory as soon as possible within the next week. News Reuters.
It is learnt from reliable sources which said, the factory will be established in Santa Catarina, Monterrey, Mexico.
Final plans are still in process. Talks with Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the state’s government are also reportedly involved.
However, it is not yet clear which Tesla model will be manufactured at the Mexican factory. It is not even known when the factory will go into production. However, Bloomberg reported that details may be revealed in the coming days.
Tesla was not immediately available for comment.
