On Wednesday, three important meetings were held at the ICT Tower. A discussion meeting on the progress of the implementation of the primary infrastructure construction project of Sheikh Hasina Institute of Frontier Technology (SHIFT) was held in the morning. The meeting was presided over by the State Minister of the ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak. The second meeting was held on the “Smart Women Entrepreneur Grant” to be paid to 1,000 women entrepreneurs on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s birthday.
At the end of the day, a meeting was held on the release of ‘Hasina and Friends’- children’s games. This web-based game has an opportunity to learn about the development of Bangladesh through interactive stories and games. There are a total of 32 interactive stories and 12 games as well as biographies of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and information on each of the 8 categories. The website is targeted at three age groups namely 6-9, 9-12, and 12-16.
The ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said about the game, “Through the interactive game, information related to the environment, health, education, and connectivity will be provided to children. Through games and stories, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina will teach children the values that make a person, a good person and a good citizen: dedication, social justice, gender equality, education, innovation, humanity, perseverance, humility, self-sacrifice, self-confidence, resilience, balance rights/duties to society, respect, curiosity, service, and optimism.”
