The Vice-Chancellor of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) and Ekushey medalist scientist Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain has been infected with corona virus. Although he has some physical complications including cough, he is fairly healthy.
Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid, Associate Director of JUST Genome Center and Chairman of Microbiology Department confirmed this information on Sunday morning.
Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain is receiving treatment and taking medicine under the former Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Deepak Kumar Mandal staying at his residence at JUST campus. For being infected with corona virus, he will be under doctor’s observation for the next 7 days maintaining the hygiene rules. Apart from this, according to the doctor’s advice, he cannot participate in any kind of official meetings, mutual interviews in physical presence. Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain was infected with Corona virus for the first time despite taking two doses of corona virus vaccine and booster dose. He urged all to pray for the quick recovery from his sudden illness.
