On August 15, 1975, the traitors of 1971 killed Bangabandhu by taking the advantage of Bangabandhu’s weakness of too-much-loving the people of this country. Therefore, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has demanded the formation of a ‘commission’ to identify not only the killers but also the masterminds and beneficiaries behind it.
He said, few murderers pressed the trigger of the gun and killed the father of the nation. But who ordered the shooting, who planned, financed and sheltered and who were the beneficiaries of Bangabandhu’s murder, needs to be brought before our next generation through a detailed commission.
This is what the state minister expected in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion meeting on Bangabandhu’s life and work organized by the Upazila administration at Singra Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Monday. At this time, Palak urged the followers to express true love for Bangabandhu by fulfilling their duties with honesty and devotion; inspired by patriotism.
He said, not in speech; May we follow the ideals of Bangabandhu in our actions. Then surely in 2041 we can build the modern form of Bangabandhu’s dream of Sonar Bengal, sustainable, intelligent, knowledge-based innovative smart Bangladesh.
In the meeting chaired by Singra Upazila Executive Officer MM Samiul Islam, Upazila Parishad Chairman Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, Municipal Mayor Jannatul Ferdous, Singra Awami League President Ohidur Rahman Sheikh, Vice Chairman Kamrul Hasan Kamran, Mahila League President Shamima Akhtar Rozi and others were present in the program.
Earlier, on the occasion of the National Mourning Day on August 15, the State Minister for ICT paid tributes to the portrait of the great architect of freedom, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
