Within a month of receiving the Ride Share Certificate, The Borak officially debuted. Apart from ride sharing through this super app integrated into the three apps of Customer, Wings and Store, delivery and service will also be available. From the four main categories of ‘Ride’, ‘Service’, ‘Food’ and ‘Product’, the journey started with providing 71 types of services including Motor Ride to Ambulance, Grocery, Electronics or Cosmetics, Food Order, Medical Services, Plumber or Salon / Beauty Parlour and so on.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar inaugurated the service at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium in the capital on Monday, May 30, 2022. At that time, he expressed his pride that The Borak was made by the youth of the country. The Minister lauded the role of entrepreneurs in making the app a timely initiative of the new generation. Mostafa Jabbar, a tech-savvy freedom fighter, expressed hope that The Borak would do better with the strength of youth and patriotism.
Major (Retired) Rakib Hasan, Administrative Officer of the Borak Services Limited presided over the function while Md. Nazrul Islam, a valiant freedom fighter and the Chairman of the Borak Services Limited delivered his speech on the occasion. Shafiul Alam Biplob, Founder CEO of The Borak delivered his welcome speech.
At this time, he said, “Our main goal is to ensure uninterrupted and fast service to all classes of professionals through these apps. Hopefully, by the middle of 2026, we will be able to bring half of the citizens of the country under this platform as well as be able to serve across the borders of the country.”
