Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar arrived in Singapore on Tuesday to attend the Huawei Asia Pacific (APAC) Digital Innovation Congress. He is leading a two-member Bangladesh delegation to the two-day conference at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from May 19 to May 20. The other member of the delegation is BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder.
The congress is hosted by the Chinese technology company Huawei and the ASEAN Foundation. The goal of this congress is to define strategies for achieving inclusive and sustainable growth through digital innovation.
Mostafa Jabbar, the first Bangladeshi who presided over the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in Geneva in 2019, will present the keynote address at the Congress. Furthermore, he is likely to speak on the sidelines of the Congress to exchange experiences with relevant experts on the application and results of digital technology, especially 5G, in industrial trade in various countries.
He is scheduled to return to the country on May 21 after the end of the Congress.
