State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak paid homage at the Central Memorial at Singra Upazila Court Ground in Natore on Saturday on the occasion of Independence Day and National Day. He also took part in discussion meetings, pleasant displays and prize distribution at the initiative of the Upazila administration.
Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer MM Samiul Islam presided over the function while Upazila Parishad Chairman Shafiqul Islam, Municipal Mayor Jannatul Ferdous, Officer in Charge Noor Alam Siddiqui and others were present.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the Tech-industry is now earning about one and a half billion dollars by utilizing the combined talents and energy of the youth. 6.5 lakh freelancers are earning thousands of dollars staying home. Besides, one crore expatriate workers have mobilized the economy of Bangladesh by sending billions of dollars as remmittance. 3 and a half crore agricultural workers are providing food to 17 crore people through their relentless labor. The result of labor for 4 million garment workers and about one crore construction and transport workers turning Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh into a wonder of the world and made it an admirable example before the world.
Mentioning that it would not have been possible to recognize oneself as a citizen of digital Bangladesh without the continuation of the leadership. The state minister urged to be ‘vigilant’ about anti-national conspirators in this regard.
“We shall be ready to sacrifice our lives if necessary to preserve the freedom and sovereignty that our forefathers have earned at the cost of their blood, we must take this oath on this auspicious day,” he said.
