Internet service resumed Monday in Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty. The city went without electricity for five days due to the horrific violence.
That violence has killed scores of people and 1.8 million residents of Almaty which is known as the country’s economic hub are living in extreme anxiety.
Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan, has been completely offline since last Wednesday. However, local and foreign websites have started their activities from Monday.
Meanwhile, a day of mourning has been declared for the most horrific violence in the independent history of the former Soviet Kazakhstan.
