Grameenphone has launched ‘Self Defense Motorbike Training for Distribution House Field Force’ program as part of its commitment to conduct business responsibly to ensure human safety.
The organization has designed this program in collaboration with Bdmotorcyclist. The goal of this world-class training program is to train more than two thousand sales executives and supervisors in 65 sessions in three phases on motorbike riding techniques, skills and responsibilities in road safety. All hygiene rules will be followed during the training.
Regarding this, Grameenphone’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Syed Tanvir Hossain said, “We believe in conducting our business activities in a responsible way for the overall ecosystem. Field workers are a very important part of our business. Therefore, when they ride bikes, we feel we have a responsibility to protect them from the risks involved. We are disturbed by the growing number of road safety issues, accidents and loss of precious lives. And so, we have to work to create public awareness, take the necessary steps and provide state-of-the-art training to riders to avoid unwanted risks. In partnership with Bdmotorcyclist, we are committed to providing training to all our field force members. And we will work with others in the sector on a larger scale to ensure safety for all in the future.”
As per the plan of this program, 1707 bikes are being used in the market operations of Grameenphone. The training program will run till March 2023 in nine important regions of the country. Grameenphone seeks to maintain an enhanced work environment by prioritizing safety, health protection and safety for all involved in the value chain. Grameenphone is expected to be able to create road safety awareness through this program in line with responsible business activities, which will contribute to the empowerment of the society by ensuring efficiency and safety of life.
