The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest electronics show, is set to take place in Las Vegas next month. Many companies are now moving away from the plan, even though they had previously planned to participate directly, as the risk of spreading the Omicron type of coronavirus has increased.
Facebook’s parent company Meta, Twitter and Pinterest have already announced separately that they will not send any of their teams to CES. As a result, they are thinking about virtual participation.
According to T-Mobile, a wireless carrier and conference sponsor in the United States, informed that most of the company’s representatives are not going to CES this time. At the same time, the CEO of the company plans to present the main article, but he will not participate in any way, either personally or virtually.
Apart from this, some companies have said that they will participate virtually. On the other hand, Qualcomm, Sony Electronics, Google and Waymo have confirmed that they will send a team to participate in this year’s CES.
