The Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the British Computer Society (BCS) in London. Under the agreement, BITM of BASIS will launch a joint professional certification program with the British Computer Society. In this program, various IT subjects will be tested and those who pass will be given an internationally recognized certificate.
The agreement was signed on Thursday (November 4), the opening day of the ongoing Bangladesh Investment Summit at the Queen Elizabeth II Center in London.
On behalf of BASIS, the President of the organization Syed Almas Kabir and the Managing Director of BCS Learning and Development Ltd. Miss. Lucy Ireland signed the contract on behalf of their respective organizations.
Foreign Minister Abul Kalam Abdul Momen, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak and officials of the British Computer Society were present on the occasion.
