In dealing with cyber accidents skillfully, Bangladesh Bank has topped the competition among the financial institutions of Bangladesh. bkash scored the second position and Janata Bank Limited and IDLC Finance Limited are in the third position. Mercantile Bank is in the next position.
The companies have shown such skills in the day-long cyber drills held online. The financial cyber drill was held on October 23 as part of a regular cyber drill to mark the golden jubilee of independence and the Mujib centenary. 38 financial institutions participated in it as groups.
This skill development and monitoring drill was organized by the Bangladesh Computer Incident Response Team (BGD e-GOV CIRT) which has been formed in accordance with the provisions of the Digital Security Act 2018 to ensure the cyber security of the country.
Bangladesh Bank scored 55 marks in the drill and won the first place. bKash Limited came second with 52 marks and Janata Bank Limited and IDLC Finance Limited came third with 42 marks.
The Cyber Drill was fully supported and supervised by the Digital Security Agency (DSA) and the Bangladesh Computer Council.
