The Department of Information and Communication Technology has undertaken the Gamification in Education Strategy to present the philosophical ideology of Bangabandhu and art-culture and literature to children and adolescents- in greater sense, to the next generation. As a part of that, web portal and game series ‘Hasina and Friends’ are being created.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak informed so, while addressing a prayer and discussion meeting organized by the ICT Department on Wednesday `while observing the National Mourning Day.
The state minister said the young generation, starting from children, will be able to learn about history and culture from the Prime Minister on the ‘Hasina and Friends’ platform.
Referring to the various far-sighted steps taken by Bangabandhu, the state minister said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the great architect of independence and the successful state hero of nation building. If he had survived, he could have taken Bangladesh at a height of developed country, as a science-minded country in the world.
The state minister for ICT also said that the local online platform is playing a role in getting to know Bangabandhu and doing research on him.
Additional Secretary of ICT Department Reena Parveen delivered her welcome speech on the occasion.
In his keynote address, Dr. Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator of the National Implementation Committee for the Celebration of the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, emphasized harmonizing social and economic issues with ever-changing technology.
BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir, e-Cab President Shami Kaiser, BCS President Shahid Ul Munir, Managing Director of Hi-Tech Park Authority Bikarna Kumar Ghosh and BCC Executive Director Partha Pratim Dev also spoke on the occasion while NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Information and Communication Technology presided over the meeting.`
