The government is going to start free training on ‘mobile game’ development under the project titled ‘Skill Development for Mobile Games and Applications’ under the Department of Information and Communication Technology. 2000 trainees will get the opportunity in this 5-month long training program through 26 training centers in all sections of the country.
Students who have completed a diploma in computer science or are studying in the second year of graduation in computer science can apply for this training course. Four IT companies are working together with the government to implement this program. Under this program, gaming training will start next June, the concerned organizations said.
The country’s leading IT company Logical Triangle and One ICT Limited are working in Khulna, Barisal, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions to implement the project.
Mostafizur Rahman, Managing Director of One ICT Limited, said in a statement that there is no substitute for skilled manpower in the IT industry to build a digital Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is taking various training programs and initiatives to create skilled manpower. Under this project, skilled manpower will be created for the game industry by providing completely free training and we will continue to work with the government for their employment.
Fakhrul Hasan, CEO of Logical Triangle, said that under this training program, students will be able to learn various concepts from game concept design, character design, animation, level making, etc. to release game s. All the experienced people in the game industry will work as trainers in this training program.
